On the Border
A dream play that explores German-Jewish cultural critic Walter Benjamin's final night on earth in 1940. Sick and fleeing the Nazis, he ends up in a seedy hotel on the Spanish-French border where he moves in and out of consciousness, remembering the people who influenced his life and work.
