The Book of Ruth

Hannah and her granddaughter, Ruth, are in a Nazi internment camp, caring for each other and struggling to survive. They each find a way to deal with their imprisonment. Ruth draws pictures that transport them to a happier place, and Hannah shares with Ruth her beloved recipes. As they strive to retain their humanity, Ruth tries to feed her starving grandmother, while Hannah’s concern is to protect her granddaughter. This is a tale of love between generations.
