On the final day of WWII in Europe, in a secret laboratory, star-crossed lovers—a German officer and a Jewish woman prisoner—await liberation or execution by a commandant who has orders to destroy all research and personnel linked to “The Uranium Project” (Das Uranprojekt), Germany’s attempt to build a nuclear bomb. Their love story began before the war. It may continue, or it may end on the final day.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The National Jewish Theater Foundation presented its 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award to Alfred Uhry. It was presented by NJTF HTII President, Arnold Mittelman with Dominique Trimbur, PhD-Manager for the History of Anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, Teaching of the Holocaust of Fondation Pour La Memoir de la Shoah Project.
