On the final day of WWII in Europe, in a secret laboratory, star-crossed lovers—a German officer and a Jewish woman prisoner—await liberation or execution by a commandant who has orders to destroy all research and personnel linked to “The Uranium Project” (Das Uranprojekt), Germany’s attempt to build a nuclear bomb. Their love story began before the war. It may continue, or it may end on the final day.
