No Pasaran

Author(s): David Holman
In No Pasaran, Spanish for They Shall Not Pass, and a slogan that became popular during World War II to express the resolve to not give up a stronghold to an enemy, the hopes of a Jewish fighter to box in the 1936 Olympics are destroyed by the rise of Nazism in Germany. The boxer emigrates to London where he is forced to confront the politician Oswald Mosely and his British Union of Fascists and National Socialists, or English blackshirts, the nickname for fascists.
