Pour Out Your Blessings
Author(s): Jessica Feder-Birnbaum
The title of the play, Pour Out Your Blessings, comes from the Amida prayer. It is a plea for prayers to be heard and answered. This short play is an imagined drama, inspired by true events that took place in Sommerda, a forced labor camp for women in Nazi Germany. The characters are Hungarian Jewish women who discuss their pasts, their present situation, and their hopes and prayers for the future.
