The Wardrobe

The play explores the relationship between Elena, a young Jewish fugitive who escaped the Warsaw ghetto, and Magda, a deeply religious Catholic woman. Their relationship begins when Elena’s lover, a Polish policeman, arranges for Elena to hide in Magda’s apartment.
